Electrical discharge machining allows Maitland to produce intricate features, narrow profiles and precision geometries that may be difficult or impractical to achieve through conventional machining. EDM is especially valuable for hardened metals, delicate components and applications requiring excellent dimensional control without introducing significant cutting forces.

Our EDM processes can be applied to a variety of electrically conductive metals and difficult-to-machine alloys, including:
- Hardened tool steel (A2, D2, H13 and M2)
- Stainless steel alloys (304, 316 and 17-4 PH)
